Networks BNB is available on

The token is the same on every network, but the address is not: sending to an address from another chain loses the transfer. Pick the network your receiving wallet actually supports.

What is BNB (BNB)?

BNB started as an exchange token and became the gas coin of BNB Chain, an EVM-compatible network where blocks arrive every three seconds and fees are a few cents. Every transaction on that chain — a transfer, a swap, a contract call — is paid for in BNB, which is the main reason to hold any.

The supply shrinks over time: the issuer burns coins quarterly against a published schedule, with a stated target of halving the original two hundred million. Whether that supports the price is a matter of opinion, but the burns themselves are verifiable on chain.

BNB Chain runs a small set of validators, which is what buys the speed and the low fees, and also what makes it more centralised than Ethereum. For everyday transfers that trade-off is usually invisible; for anything where censorship resistance matters, it is the thing to weigh.

In swaps BNB behaves like the other network coins: people acquire it to cover fees on BEP-20 transfers and to interact with contracts on the chain, and sell it back when they are done with that network.

Practical points for a swap. BNB Chain uses the same address format as Ethereum, and wallets happily show one address for both — which is how transfers end up on the chain nobody was watching. The label in your wallet (BEP-20 versus ERC-20) is the part that matters, not the address itself.

There is also an older Beacon Chain format starting with bnb1, used by some exchanges for withdrawals and requiring a memo. If a service asks for a memo along with the address, sending without it means the transfer arrives at the exchange but not at your account, and recovering it takes a support ticket.

Two more things decide whether BNB belongs in your wallet. First, the chain hosts a large share of low-cost token activity, so if you interact with any of it, you need the coin regardless of what you think of it. Second, the exchange behind it uses BNB for fee discounts and launch participation, which is a separate reason people hold it and has nothing to do with the chain itself.

Questions people ask first

What is the minimum BNB swap?

0.05 BNB. Below that the network fee eats too much of the transfer to be worth sending; the exact figure per direction is shown in the table above.

How much is 1 BNB worth right now?

About $717.82, +1.26% over the past 24 hours. The figure on this page is taken from a public market feed when the page is built and refreshed in your browser.

Which network is BNB sent on?

BEP20 by default. The same token exists on several networks and the address format differs — check what your receiving wallet supports before you send.

Which BNB pairs are available?

1 directions on this site: BNB to USDT. Each has its own page with the current rate and the minimum.

Do I need an account to swap BNB?

No. There is no registration and no identity check for a standard swap: you send from your own wallet and name the receiving address at the exchange step.
